Plasma TVs Will Be 3D in 2013

A market research company based in Seoul, predicted that the 3D plasma TV sales will skyrocket in the next three years with 86 percent of all plasma sold in the market is 3D ready. There is a large division at this time where technology provides the best 3D experience between LCD or plasma. Experts predict that the 3D TV would mean the resurrection to the plasma, which has experienced a slight downturn in recent years because of the relative cheapness of LCD TVs. But it seems that the introduction of LED technology has increased the cost of LCD, plasma technology is now placed at a more reasonable price point.

Displaybank agree to say about the 3D market, “3D PDP TVs is expected to attract consumers from the point of perspective as a more reasonable price of products that widen the difference in price from very high prices, the 3D LED LCD TV. “Compared with LCD, PDP has a cost increase factor that is the relatively smaller which led to improved profitability in the industry such as the portion of PDP TVs in all markets 3D PDP TV PDP (plasma, red) is expected to rise sharply.” While Displaybank does not believe that the plasma will become a more dominant technology for 3D view.

He believes that the relatively low cost of adding 3D capability means that most plasma will have this technology in 2013. “PDP industry suffered from lower production capacity and marketing capabilities than the LCD and have no new investment, the market expansion will be difficult because of the limited production even with the recognition that comes from consumers.” It was said by Jusy Hong senior analyst at research group Displaybank. “3D PDP TVs will remain in the limit of the 2D below the limited PDP TV plasma TV market.” Hong added that this indicates there are big stakes and benchmarks for Panasonic that has hopes on 3D plasma in the future.
